Periods One and Nine,
The battle has begun:
Our next unit of study will force us to do battle with the evil Empire of cliched language! (Don't be scared; we can do this. :)
All of our activities over the next couple weeks will serve to take our writing in new directions, spark new language choices, and make us more aware of the words we are placing on the page.
It's going to be awesome.
(And I'm not just saying that because I'm the teacher. :)
